After you’ve picked up some flowers, or something nice for Mom– perhaps consider picking up Ryan Franklin (STL) – particularly if you could use some help in the “Saves” department. Although a committee may be forming in St. Louis – it appears Franklin will have the first crack at closing duties for the Cards.
If Franklin’s already been snapped up - Guillermo Mota (MIL) could turn out to be solid consolation prize. A closer three headed monster could develop here since Ned Yost can never seem to make his mind up on anything – but Mota would be the best bet if the one time untouchable Eric Gagne continues to mirror Jason Isringhausen’s
“I shouldn’t be closing right now” sentiment.
