By the way - Who won?

Oh, the New York Yankees…Wow, shocking!

All that’s left to wrap up the 2009 MLB season is the multitude of annual baseball awards.

We had planned to chime in on who we felt was deserving of both the American, and National League Rookie of the Year. But, for one thing, the boobs we are - we couldn’t seem to all agree! Hehe!

Despite not being called up until June, I still am prone to the Pirates dynamite franchise outfielder Andrew McCutchen, where as both writers Adam Forsyth, and Ryan Roach felt Phillies starter J.A. Happ was the clear choice – with Ryan even thinking the Braves Tommy Hanson’s fantastic inaugural year was worthy of some consideration.

As for the American League Roy candidates, I’m giving a slight edge to the Texas Rangers speedy Short Stop Elvis Andrus over the Chicago White Sox Gordon Beckham. But this seems like a coin toss to me.

Note: Incidentally USA Today named Chris Coughlin as their pick for NL ROY for 2009, which didn’t come as a shock - but we thought he was the dark horse in this talented group. Anyways, there will be countless numbers of sites devoting some blogger insight on who they feel will take the ROY awards, as well as MVP and Cy Young awards.

But how many sites will list Bobblehead Awards for 2009!?

I grappled with the idea of coming up with a good & suitable name for our 2009 Bobbleheads of the Year awards - and I am happy to announce: “The Bobblies will be posted later on this week!

We only hope we can bring more attention to the massive appeal that most Bobblies deserve!
