And no, we won’t start any heinous rumors of Brett Wallacebeginning a CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts! Although, he may be wise to consider flirting with some of the Canadian Football leagues Cheerleaders
! After all he’s going to need something to keep him warm after a move from sunny Oakland, California’ s Fahrenheit to the chilly Celsius of Toronto Ontario! Don’t fret too much Brett – the retractable roof at the Rogers Center will hasten that nasty T.O. wind chill once the 2010 MLB season begins.
Less than a week after we blogged the virtues of Brett Wallace being an Oakland A, the third base/DH prospect has become a Toronto Blue Jay
. So much for Billy Beane kicking back and resting on his laurels!
The Blue Jays flipped Michael Taylor whom they received in the Blockbuster Roy Halladay/Cliff Lee deal. The Jays end up with not one, not two, but three former first round drafts picks once the dust finally settled.

It’s been a pretty wild Winter for trades and free agent signings – but thus far the Halladay deal, unless a Matt Holliday package can top it will be the biggest MLB swap of this offseason. Either way, spring training will see lots of new faces in Arizona , and Florida dugouts! How long before pitchers and catchers report!? I can’t wait!
