The Toronto Blue Jays have finally announced the 2010 promotions that will be provided at the Rogers Centre this coming season! Yes, it pales in comparison to last week-ends Gold Medal Hockey game in Vancouver - but Jays fans will be treated to a little retro on August 29th as the first 10,000 Jays fans through the gates of Rogers Centre will receive a Dave Stieb Bobblehead.

For those too young to remember Dave Stieb - like half the Blue Jaysroster, Stieb and his mustache took the mound for the Blue Jaysbetween 1979 and 1992, and again in 1998.

Dave Stieb is actually the 2nd winningest pitcher in the 80's - next to the Detroit TigersJack Morris - and to date is the only Blue Jays pitcher to toss a No-hitter. (Versus the Cleveland Indianson September 2nd 1990)

For those who were lucky enough to catch Dave Stieb in action - it was truly a pleasure to watch this man pitch! Unfortunately played on several bad Blue Jays teams and probably deserves more Hall of Fame attention than he gets. Stieb is in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame - but alas we're not hear to debate Hall of Fame merits.

Do circle August 29th 2010 on the Baseball calendar though!

And consider planning your MLB Road Trip to Rogers Centre the end of this summer! By than the Blue Jays could quite possibly be far from the pennant race in the always brutal American League East, but at least you'll have a shot at taking home a retro uniformed Dave Stieb Bobblehead: Mustache included!

The St. Louis Cardinals TicketsComeback player of the Year for 2009 - Chris Carpenter is one of three Cardinals Bobbleheads the St. Louis franchise has in store for giveaways for the 2010 Major League Baseball season.

In addition to a Chris Carpenter Bobblehead day, which will be held August 22nd when the Cards play host to the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals will also feature a Vince Coleman and a Whitey Herzog SGA Bobble heads day during their 1985 NL Championship Week-end to close out the month of July - 2010.

For their 2010 Washington Nationals Bobbleheads – the Nats are offering something new, something old, & something…well fans will get to decide on the final call. *Cough* Strasburg Bobblehead! *Cough* Sorry…darn flu bug is causing us to reveal our 2010 bobblehead wishes!

The Washington Nationals rising star, Ryan Zimmerman has become a popular bobblehead choice!

Unless MLB SGA bobble fans have a case of “Memento” they will recollect this (see pic) Ryan Zimmerman Bobblehead from 2008.

Well, its déjà vu in D.C. as the Nationals Bobblehead dates will once again include the talented third baseman who at one point in 2009 looked like he was going to challenge Joe Dimaggio’s hitting streak!

Circle Saturday June 19th on your Bobblehead calendars. A Ryan Zimmerman Bobblehead will be given out to 15,000 fans when the Washington Nationals play host to the Chicago White Sox in an early summer Interleague game.

A little later on in the summer of 2010, when playing the NL Champion Philadelphia Phillies - a Bobblehead of former Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Nyjer Morgan will be handed out (also to the first 15,000 fans) through the gates of Nationals Ballpark on July 31st 2010. Finally, the bobbleheads are wrapped up on August 28th with a Fans Choice Bobblehead.

A 2010 Stephen Strasburg Bobblehead would rock!

If a batter is chosen, we’re going to be pulling for The Hammer: A Josh Willingham Bobblehead is long overdue from some MLB team!

But perhaps even better…Why not feature one of Major League Baseballs future stars and obvious franchise player?

Certainly, the Nationals gotta at least consider a Stephen Strasburg Bobblehead don’t they?

If baseballs newest franchise doesn’t capitalize on their super prospect ASAP, they are insane! It just makes good marketing sense to us since Stephen Strasburg Bobblehead day tickets would probably sell out no matter where the Nationals are in the 2010 standings come August 28th!
