Show Us Your Bobbles Contest!

We want to extend a warm welcome to ANY newcomers to our website, and hope you enjoy WaiverSharks NEWEST BLOG as much as we LOVE writing it!

Trying to jumpstart the competition - Some minor league teams have already begun announcing their Promotional Schedules for the upcoming 2009 Minor League Baseball Season. One such team is Portland Maine ’s - Portland Sea Dogs.

Included in the Boston Red Sox Double-A affiliate teams 2009 promos are FIVE Bobblehead doll stadium giveaways for 2009.

Each Bobblehead game will issue the coveted dolls to only the first 1000 fans through the gate – making these Bobbleheads potentially valuable, rare collectables.

April 30th/2009: David Ortiz - Start the year right with a Big Papi bobblehead.

June 17th/2009: Jed Lowrie - Lowrie soooo deserves a Bobblehead day – He is such a fantastic player, who has come up through the Sox system, and could shine with “Peds” for years to come.

July 7th/2009: Justin Masterson - Most definitely road trip worthy!

NOTE: The Red Sox are playing host to Matt Holliday, and his new Oakland Athletics team mates this same week – in case you were considering heading over to see the Green Monster at Fenway Park on the same trip.

August 5th/2009: Michael Bowden - An early potential Fantasy Sleeper candidate? Possibly.

A Bobblehead Day to call his own? Shwing! Mike Myers needs to make a comeback after the stinker The Love Guru – Perhaps a Waynes World 3 is in order?

September 1st/2009: Jon Lester - Ending the Bobblehead doll giveaways on a high note – Only seems fitting that the 2008 No-Hitter recipient will now be enshrined in wobbler glory.

Clay Buchholz BobbleheadClay Buchholz Bobblehead – this August 25th/2008 doll was not made out of Clay – but more likely made using Polyresin. Regardless - The Portland Sea Dogs will pray for better fortunes for this years crop of exciting SGA’s!

Check back with Bobblehead Daze throughout the offseason, as we highlight many 2009 Bobblehead Stadium Giveaways (SGA) that you may be interested in. Why not get the buddies together for a Road Trip - Or load up the kids – if you’re a Family Guy. Gas prices have come down, and a FREE Bobblehead is a sweet (added) incentive to come out and see some of the many wonderful ballparks America has to offer!
