Since the inception of the wildly popular Halo video game series was released in conjunction with the original XBOX, I have been a moderate fan. So, as a memento to my fandom and appreciation of flying a Ghost and swinging an Energy Sword, I’m considering adding a Halo Bobble head doll to my growing collection of nodding friends.
Admittedly, I’ve passed by a few various hues of the armor clad hero while perusing various eBay bobblehead auctions – and thought, hmmm – that’s totally unnecessary, the wife will hate it – and I want one.
(Pretty much the primary criteria most grown men use to hypothesize about 75% of the purchases they Paypal)
Incidentally, the fourth installment of the ultimate first person shooter (FPS) “Halo Wars” is set to be released on March 3rd, 2009. Note: Don’t refer to it as Halo 4 on message boards – the diehards get upset.
Now it comes down to two questions. First is what color do I want and second whether I want the base to read “Spartan” or “Master Chief”.
Colors I’ve noticed readily available (And please let me know if there is a rare color variant I’ve overlooked!) are Pink, Green, Blue, Crimson Steel and Pale.
I’m leaning towards Steel or the Entertainment Earth exclusive Pale – but really, combat color is not big deal – I just want my Funco Halo Bobblehead to guard the stationary on my desk. (My Swingline stapler is blue, perhaps he should match that?)
Oh – and in the event of an attack, I’ll need him to be prepared to kick some covenant ass!
