Ichiro is back, and so are Ichiro Bobbleheads!
The popular Seattle Mariners outfielder made his debut Wednesday evening at Safeco Field, after beginning the 2009 season on the DL with a bleeding ulcer and fatigue.
The Mariners welcomed back an old friend in Ken Griffey Jr. (NOTE: Junior will have a bobblehead day of his own on August 7th, 2009) on Tuesday night, and this Friday – April 17th, Mariners fans will continue a pretty fun week with an Ichiro Bobblehead Night when the Mariners take on the Detroit Tigers.
We can’t recall a season dating back to 2001 that the Mariners did not hold an Ichiro Bobblehead day, so it comes as no surprise that they would keep the tradition alive in 2009.
