Yesterday (April 13th 2009) Bobblehead Daze battled the chilly elements, and headed out to try to land a few of the 10,000 Miguel Cabrera Bobbleheads being handed out to wind-chilled Tigers fans.
As seen here, despite the slow traffic through the Windsor to Detroit tunnel, we managed to nab a couple Miggy Bobbleheads – making the hometown Detroit Tigers loss to the Chicago White Sox at least a little more bearable. A quick look today on eBay we noticed a number of Cabrera Bobbleheads are up for auction already – so if you weren’t able to head out to Comerica Park for the 2008 AL Homerun Champion Bobble – CHECK eBay OUT today to see if you can’t bid on one. Sponsored by Little Caesars, this cool Tigers Bobble even came in a colorful collector’s box!
Note: While at the game we noticed Mike Ilitch has done a real nice thing in the back of Comerica Park ’s grandstands, out beyond centerfield. Usually there are a couple GM vehicles parked out on that way – but instead, to start this 2009 season, he has sprung for this wonderful message: “The Detroit Tigers Support Our Automakers”, at a time when the auto industry could certainly use any boost it can get.

Motown’s Tigs will honor Cabrera with an American League Home Run King SGA bobblehead before the snow has possibly thawed!
