A majority of MLB teams are still a number of weeks, or in many cases, months away from announcing their 2010 Bobblehead SGAschedules – Not the LA Dodgers.

The 2009 NL Western Division Champions have listed amongst their 2010 Ticket Plans a “Bobble-Slam Plan” which features all four Dodger Bobblehead giveaways for the upcoming year. The cheeky plan name was dubbed in honor of Manny Ramirez’dramatic Grand Slam hit on Manram’s very first Bobble head night while playing for the Dodgers.

Last season we got our wishes granted with a Matt Kemp Bobblehead. In 2010 things get off to a spicy start on May 18th with an Andre Ethier Bobblehead. This will be the full time outfielder/par time cooking critics first major league bobblehead SGA.

C’mon guys…A Big ol’ Jonathan Broxton Bobblehead is most definitely in order!

That didn’t take long!

Less than a month after Manny Ramirez re-signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers for a cool 45 million, they are offering up a Bobble head doll with his likeness! The Dodgers SGA ManRam Bobblehead will be complete with what looks to be his 2008 “shorter” version dread locks.

This Dodgers Stadium giveaway will be offered on July 22nd when LA plays host to the Cincinnati Reds. The first 50,000 fans will take home the poly resin version of #99 – complete with goatee, dreads & an excessive amount of pine tar and dirt on his helmet! So, even if, as Manny put it: “Age is catching up to him” – you’ll have a sweet souvenir of “Manny being Manny!”

The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced the 2009 dates to three upcoming MLB SGA Bobblehead Nights - with first honors going to the Dodgers very own “Casey at Bat” – Third Baseman Casey Blake. The first 50,000 fans through the gates of Dodgers Stadium will receive the bearded former Cleveland Indian on May 20th when the Dodgers play host to the New York Mets.

The other two remaining dates are currently To Be Announced, but keep checking back and we should have verification of these Bobblehead giveaways as soon as the Dodgers announce them.

We are crossing our fingers for a 2009 Matt Kemp Bobble (The Jacksonville Suns handed out 3000 Matt Kemp Bobbleheads back in 2007)

Another consideration may be the LA Dodgers fan favorite Blake DeWitt - who is in line to take over for the recently retired Jeff Kent at second base. Outfielder on the rise Andre Ethier would make for a cool bobble – or perhaps Dodgers 2009 big bad closer – Jonathon Broxton? Need a little extra poly resin for that one!

The Wild Card of course is if Manny Ramirez signs with the Dodgers. Than ManRam, complete with #99 jersey and shorter dreads could get the Dodger’s marketing group’s green light! We’ll be sure to let our Bobblehead Daze faithful know as soon as we get word.
