The New York Mets inaugural Citi Field season is being met with high expectations, as the franchise prepares for its opening day celebrations April 13th, 2009, when the Mets play host to the San Diego Padres.
Excitement is building, as two brand new stadiums opening in the very same year have baseball fans thrilled to be a part of New York sports history.
This season, as many of you already know - Shea stadium gives way to a new stomping ground for Reyes and Wright, called Citi Field.
The Mets 2009 recently announced their 2009 promotions, and this year’s Bobblehead stadium giveaways include a couple of stellar pitchers!
Hall of Famer, and 3 time CY Young Award winner Tom Seaver kicks things off with a bobble head doll SGA on Saturday August 22nd 2009 when the Mets play host to the visiting Philadelphia Phillies.
Not wasting any time promoting the New Yorkers offseason elite closer signing of Frankie Rodriguez – the Mets marketing folks will offer up a K-Rod bobblehead on Sunday, September 6th, 2009.
Both Mets promos this season will be awarded to the first 25,000 fans through the gates of the all new Citi Field.
